High build quality and outstanding performance!
I’ve used it to warn people to keep their volume down at night from a long distance. It works. Only downside is the button which is sticky but I don’t use the configuration extensively so I’m fine with it.
Hope a new version with TIR lens is released, with all the new features of their new range of lights.
Whatever your use case, this is a solid, we'll made, high powered, LEP torch that is sure to satisfy. With the quality of FFL we've grown to expect and love this is well worth the very competitive "sale" price. High value, big fun.
use it for hiking in the wood and walk on the beach. loves the long beam throw of stb90.2
Love the FFL lights! Great beam and aux light makes it easy to find at night.
Can't go wrong with these folks.
I have the Red and the Black model of this light.
The black magnetic tailcap fit well for my NovMu. It's a bit taller than the default tailcap. The magnet is a little bit weak but it does work just fine
colder than Nichia E17-v1 1800k, close to Nichia E17 1800k, similar color rendering, excellent behavior in optics. Great :D
This was my first order with FFL, but I read a lot of good things about the FFL351A before. It's the only 1800K higher powered emitter I am aware of, and it somehow manages to deliver 1800K that are very high CRI. This results in a very particular light - it seems amber, but at the same time is still a high CRI wide spectrum light which allows you to see colors.
Great "bedside" flashlight, since it does not affect night vision as much as even 2700K does, and looks very close to candle light in terms of CCT, even warmer.
I'm very happy with the LEDs, as well as FFLs packaging and shipping. Great shopping experience.
I opted for the XHP 4500k version, it's a gem !
Stacked against my trusty Acebeam L35 V1 I expected to get a posh/luxury variant of it, that would ultimately let me down on a practical power/grunt level.
Well, L35 turbo is brighter yeah, but I take my lights for very long urbex walks and only care about sustained high mode. Safe to say that the X1L not only trade blows with the L35 there but actually beat it in some aspects ! I wasn't expecting that.
It throws further and spills a tiny bit less just as you would expect 70.2 and 70.3 competing against each other in comparable hosts.
Runtimes appears to be roughly the same.
This grunt/power comparaison aside, needless to say the beam of the X1L is glorious and vastly superior to the L35.
Unfortunately my Opple died a few days ago so I can't provide measurements, but I have benchmarked enough lights to assume this one is close to dead neutral DUV wise, which is no easy feat for a high CRI XHP ! So happy I found this unicorn.
Finally, as everyone knows, build quality is top notch. A real pleasure to hold such beautiful piece of engineering.
Very much looking for next Firefly releases, hopefully with the same or higher punch; XHP HI or SBT90.2 (T9R V2 ?!)
I use it as a light tripod! We also recommend viewing it as an object!
