I held off getting this light for a while because of the strange proportions, but it doesn't look egregious in person and feels pretty comfortable in the hand. As I understand it, this is the best SBT90.2 thrower for the price in terms of driver efficiency. The beam is more intense than my Wurkkos TS30S Pro (with the same emitter) because of the deeper reflector, and the Fireflylite T9R has better sustained brightness. The TS30S Pro happens to have a more pleasant colored beam, but the T9R is pretty close to neutral and only looks a touch green next to the Wurkkos. Both have Anduril 2.0, which is great. I favor the ergonomics of the Wurkkos TS30S slightly.

But this light is an excellent price, and can't be beat for output and value. As always, Fireflylite quality and service is top notch.

This thing is awesome. I got it in SBT90.2 form and wow. It's a BRILLIANT thrower. I use it for night time hiking and this light will comfortably illuminate the trail a few hundred metres ahead so I can see where I'm headed. Turbo (FET) is bright as hell. Not quite as high-output as the same LED in a Noctigon K1, but it doesn't need to be - this light's turbo is plenty bright and throwy, all while looking better and being far, far more efficient at lower ramp levels than the Noctigon. This is peak mid-sized thrower, IMO. Not exactly pocket friendly, but it's a tool and it does its job exceptionally well. Incredible sustained output and runtimes. Huge turbo when you need it. Can't ask for much more than that!!

Throws a nice, tight beam with usable spill from its smooth and deep reflector.

It’s not a light I have much use for but it’s very bright. The FFL505 emitter has a beautiful tint at 3500k
