It's a pretty nice 14500 light. The output is great, the anodization is top quality. I love the orange color. A lot of people complain about the UI, but I think it's ok.
The button is very mushy, which is quite irritating. The worst part, however, is the parasitic drain. The battery will die within a week of non-use. I've tested a few batteries, so it's not the fault of the included 14500 Fireflies battery.
I paid $24 for it on sale. I think that's about what it's worth. Nice, small 519A host with an included battery, magnetic tailcap, and aux light. Unfortunately, it falls short of a must-have light. Which is a shame given that the E12R and E07x lights are some of the best-in-class lights on the market.
I asked to get this light with an Osram emitter to get the throwiest 14500 light possible. It didn't disappoint, I measured it at almost 320m of throw (25kcd).
The beam is not pretty though, and it's probably why the osram emitter is not offered by default. I was warned when I requested it so I can't complain.
Otherwise just like P02 and P03, the UI is unusual. Not bad but different to what we're used to. Make sure it's not a dealbreaker before buying
I like 14400 flashlights because generally there's the option to use a AA battery in a pinch. This light won't work on the lower voltage. Otherwise, it's an ok light but nothing special.
I am used to long shipping out of Asia, but fireflylite holds the record right now.
Nonetheless the light has a great quality and feels really good. The button is a bit high but easy to find. I like the aux light. The UI is relatively intuitive but no info on it in the package, only learning by doing for me.
The battery seems a bit odd, I think I will replace it in the future with a better one.
Fireflylite, you will get back on track soon and will improve in every way. I think it was too much, the new onlineshop as well as so much new models at the same time, but you will recover and grow on that.
I am super impressed with this light. The quality and features are really impressive for $30 USD. The emitter options are great, and although I was apprehensive about the TIR lens it works well in this light to give the beam a bit more "oomph". The 2700k 519a is a gorgeous tint - that alone makes this light worth buying. But you also get fun body colors (ORANGE!!!), some nice aux LEDs in both the head and switch, and a very pleasant form factor which feels great in the hand while still being extremely pocketable. This one is absolutely going into my EDC rotation.
Others are saying the UI is terrible. I disagree. The UI is *different*, but in my opinion very well done. If you want the UI to be the same on all your other lights, don't buy this one. If you are willing to learn a (very simple and intuitive) new UI, give this light a chance! Honestly I don't understand why people are hating on the UI so much - I kind of like it. But to each their own.
Fireflylite, great job on this one - It's a real winner! Also, please offer more lights with this orange color :D
