This is absolutely the best ULTRA HIGH CRI photography mule available in the market and it is not an exaggeration at all. The Nichia E21A renders colors better than any CREE, Samsung, or LUMINUS LEDS out there. The LUME driver is also tested to provide over 90% efficiency in most of its operating range!! I bought the 2000K and 4500K version when they first came out. I use the 2000k (similar to candle light) on a nightly basis for the last few years, running plugged into USB as room lighting. The 4500K is the perfect photography light. Using a calibrated TA Lumen Sphere, I measured 5,353 lumens using Samsung 30T cells and 5,155 lumens with Samsung 40T cells on turbo. It is extremely rare to see honest manufacturer ratings like this. Flashlights you see on Amazon that are specified at 100,000 lumens measure 600 lumens using a lumen sphere. I also measured the light quality on turbo using a Sekonic C-800-U Spectrometer and got the following results: 95.9 CRI, -0.0084 DUV, 87.3 R9, 77.5 R12, 91 RF, 104 RG. That is some crazy good tint and color rendering.
The only negative about this flashlight is the protruding button that can result in accidental activation so you must untwist it to lock it out when placed in your pocket. This should be fixed in the next revision of this flashlight.
