NOV-mu V2S in Copper & Ti-Cu

Introducing the limited-edition NOV-Mu V2S in all-copper, and titanium-copper.

Each flashlight begins with a billet of Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64) titanium alloy, carefully machined down and finished to form the body. After numerous iterations, we are proud to offer two striking finishes.

Jade Relic is a tribute to our heritage. A careful anodization process forms a metallic green tint, yet retains titanium's natural luster. Subtle iridescent tones shift with the light.

For those who prefer understated sophistication, Nocturne offers a deep, durable, stonewash finish that wears gracefully overtime, reminiscent of moonlit steel.

And for the purists, we are offering a Full-Copper variant, for superior thermal and electrical conductivity, with a patina that wears uniquely, and an unmistakable weight in hand.

Key Differences vs. Aluminum Versions:

  1. Custom matching hardware (clip, bezel, buttons)
  2. Mechanical lockout from tail-cap only
  3. Stronger tail magnet (due to increased flashlight weight)
  4. Material properties may lead to increased heat on high modes or turbo - this flashlight is a high-performance tool and must be used responsibly

Raised Switch Ring

Due to popular demand, we're introducing a new raised-lip switch bezel for reduced button-activation when carrying in-pocket. The NOV-MU comes with the classic flat switch bezel by default.

For those interested in the raised bezel switch ring for their flashlight, pleased send us an order note when you place your order, and we will install a raised-ring instead of the flat-ring at no additional cost.

Alternatively, the raised ring is also available for order as a separate item, for those who would like to experiment and/or change the bezel rings themselves.

    User Interface: (Anduril V2)

This flashlight uses the open-sourced Anduril user interface.

By default, this flashlight begins in Simple UI with 5 brightness levels. Enter the hidden Advanced UI to access additional features and more configuration options. Details can be found in Anduril User Guide

    Charging

NOV-Mu V2 features an intelligent 2A battery charger. For optimal charging, use a USB-C port that can source at least 5V 2A. Upon the start of charging, the side-switch illuminates red. When charging is complete, the red indicator turns off. A flashing red indicator indicates a charge fault.

For battery safety, cells below 3V are pre-charged at 100mA before the full 10W charge starts, transitioning to constant voltage, and ending with trickle-charging. The charger includes a 10-hour safety timer to prevent extended charging.

While not recommended, the flashlight may be used while charging, but if operated at higher power levels than the charging rate, the battery will not be charged.

    Battery Level Indicator

Anduril2 UI uses the front RGB auxiliary LEDs to indicate the current battery level upon turn-off. The colors correspond as follows:

This post-off display can be turned off or configured in Anduril.

Anduril 2 is an open-sourced software and distributed under the terms of GPLv3. The source can be accessed here

    Operation Notes

    • The NOV-Mu V2S is a high-performance flashlight and can generate a lot of heat during operation. Please understand that this is not a toy and should be handled with safety.
    • To prevent accidental activation of the flashlight, it is recommended to lock-out the flashlight (4 clicks from off to lock or unlock) before storage, or unscrew the body slightly as a mechanical lock-out.
    • The NOV-Mu V2S has low-voltage protection which cuts off power at 2.8V. It is recommended to begin recharging the cell before this happens to increase battery longevity.
