NOV-Mu V2

私は初代NOV-Muを購入したときから完全にその魅力にはまってしまい、NOV-Mu V2が発表されたときには即行で予約しました(Fossil Grey MAO/Nichia E21A R9080 4500K CRI98)。
製品が届いてからいろいろ触ってみると、期待を超える出来の良さに感激しました。21700バッテリーを使用するライトの中では驚異的な小ささ、使いやすいUSB-C充電カバー、前方170度をカバーする照射範囲の広さ、最高6000lm、非常に高い演色性能、耐久性の高いメタルスイッチ、最新のAnduril2 UI、Fossil Grey MAOの質感。どこを取っても非の打ち所のない優秀なライトだと思います。これは家の中で写真撮影をする際の照明として使用しています。
あまりにもNOV-Mu V2を気に入りすぎたので、遂には2本目を購入してしまいました(Matt Black HA3/FFL351A 5000K CRI95)。FFL351A 5000Kの光は黄色っぽくも青色っぽくもない混じりっ気のない綺麗な白色で、Nichiaにも負けていません。HA3はMAOよりも遥かに傷付きにくいので、少々手荒に扱っても傷1つ付かないです。この2本目は外出用のデイパックに入れて、市街地の夜道を照らすために使用しています。この使い方は間違っていると言われるかもしれませんが、暗闇でほぼ真横や足元まで照らせる安心感は他のライトでは得られません。2000lmくらいの出力で、市街地では十分なほど光も遠くまで届きます。NOV-Mu V2は決して屋内専用ライトではないと思っています。

NOV-Mu V2は現在市場に存在するリフレクターのないライトの中で間違いなく最高のライトですが、FireflyLite自体が日本では比較的マイナーで、いまいち知られていません。
しかし、あまりにも素晴らしく唯一無二の性能を誇るライトなので、日本のフラッシュライト愛好家が集まる掲示板でも私がNOV-Mu V2を皆に紹介しています。

NOV-Mu V2の唯一の欠点は、日本は現在円安が著しく進行しているため、日本円で購入すると結構割高になってしまう点です。しかし、割高でも購入したいと思えるほどの魅力がNOV-Mu V2にはあります。

I have the previous version of the NOV MU2 (NOV MU21). The new one is an improvement in just about every way. It's surprisingly 7mm smaller, but feels substantially smaller in the hands. Love the new paint anodizing, feels good, almost sandy like but smooth. Difficult to explain, but feels great in the hands! Love the new USB C magnetic charger door, shuts close on its own when you remove the cable. Smart charging and better utilization of the power button indicating battery power. And of course, the improved output. I'm a little disappointed that the 4500k variant isn't available. My previous version was in 3700k flavor, I got this one I'm 5000k. Wish there was a 4500k cct version.

This is the only mule I have and I did a lot of research to find the best mule available, I think the NovMu v2 is perfect for its use case, for me that's photography. The E21A tint mix has both my preferred colour temperature and neutral tint with neither green or pink shades, as well as amazing colour rendering. It's an ideal miniature/handheld photo light. The flashlight is extremely well made, to the point that I wanted one similar but in a design suitable for EDC so I could have one in my pocket, so I've ordered an X1S Pharos. I love the host - the button is nice, the body is beautifully machined, and the finish is gorgeous (mine is matte black). I don't recommend this as an EDC unless you live exclusively in cupboards every day, as the light only realistically reaches a few metres, but it is impressive at what it does.

While it lacks the throw of most modern flashlights, that is not what this flashlight is about. It is simply awesome for normal everyday tasks where its wide field of view (~170 degrees) with no hotspot is simply awesome for lighting up a sidewalk at night or finding something in a dark closet of bag. It also is great in a dimly lit motel room with that lovely beam. Finally, the color these emitter produce makes colors appear very accurately and vibrantly so, that thing in the grass can be identified at a safe distance to be a stick, snake, or a doggy deposit in your yard!

And, I love the RGB aux lights. Sitting on my nightstand or on a counter in a motel room, these aux lights provide a very pleasing glow that makes my flashlight very easy to find! The magnetic USB port cover is simply genius too! And the fit and finish is very premium. As long as you don't need to light up something at 50 yards/meters away, this light is an awesome option!

The quality of workmanship and the light output are at a high level, I like the very low level of moonlight and the charging port flap. The only thing I don't like is the black color of the magnetic tail cap does not match the color of the body.
