E04 Surge Limited
The E04 Ti-AL Limited is our expression of performance and craft.
We are pleased to announce a special edition E04 Surge Limited, offering in a stunning combination of unique metals: Desert MAO (Micro-Arc Oxidation) Aluminum and Textured Verdant Jade Titanium.
This special edition brings together the strengths of both materials: aluminum for efficient heat dissipation, and titanium for durability and tactile character.
Each flashlight begins as a billet of Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64), precision-machined and finished into its final form. The Verdant Jade treatment pays tribute to our heritage, with a controlled anodization process of a vibrant metallic green while preserving the natural luster of titanium.
At its core, the E04 Surge Limited features the unmatched Lume X1 driver paired with Nichia B35AM 4000K emitters. These unique emitters are known for their exceptionally high CRI of 98 and deliver accurate and incredible color rendering.
To support the unique thermal requirements of the B35AM, we engineered a custom MCPCB with extra-thick copper and a carefully optimized ultra-thin, high-thermal-conductivity dielectric layer, designed to maximize thermal performance beyond conventional designs.

User Interface: (Anduril V2)
This flashlight uses the open-sourced Anduril user interface. Anduril 2 is an open-sourced software and distributed under the terms of GPLv3. The source can be accessed here.
By default, this flashlight begins in Simple UI with 5 brightness levels. Enter the hidden Advanced UI to access additional features and more configuration options.

Charging
E04 Surge features an intelligent 10W battery charger. For optimal charging, use a USB-C port that can source 5V 3A. Upon the start of charging, the side-switch illuminates red. When charging is complete, the red indicator turns off. A flashing red indicator indicates a charge fault (e.g. battery not inserted).
For battery safety, cells below 3V are pre-charged at 100mA before the full 10W charge starts, transitioning to constant voltage, and ending with trickle-charging. The charger includes a 10-hour safety timer to prevent extended charging.
While not recommended, the flashlight may be used while charging, but if operated at higher power levels than the charging rate, the battery will not be charged.
Battery Level Indicator
Anduril2 UI uses the front RGB auxiliary LEDs to indicate the current battery level upon turn-off. The colors correspond as follows:
This post-off display can be turned off or configured in Anduril.
Operation Notes
- E04 is a high-performance high-power flashlight and generates a lot of heat. Please understand that this is not a toy and must be handled with safety.
- The default thermal regulated limit is set at 50C. This can be configured by the user to be higher or lower via the Anduril user interface.
- To prevent accidental activation of the flashlight, it is recommended to lock-out the flashlight (4 clicks from off to lock or unlock) before storage, or unscrew the body slightly as a mechanical lock-out.
- E04 has low-voltage protection which cuts off power at 2.8V. It is recommended to begin recharging the cell before this happens to increase battery longevity.
