Q: How do i choose a suitable emitter type?

FFL707A or CREE XHP70.3 Hi option are 40W emitter with 2903 10 degree TIR optics. The beam profile is perfect , a throwy hotspot with very smooth floody spill. 

CREE XHP50.3 HI option are 20W emitters with Gigaone LLC25R optics.  

If you seek high brightness cool white light, FFL707A 6500K or CREE XHP70.3 6500K is recommended.  FFL707A has better tint than XHP70.3 , especially on lower brightness level.

If you prefer High CRI emitter of pleasant rosy tint, FFL707A 4000K is the best choice. The light color is very soft and comfortable to see.

If you prefer High CRI emitter with pure white light, FFL707A 5000K CRI95 or XHP50.3 HI 5000K recommended.  FFL707A 5000K has better beam profile and better tint.  XHP50.3 5000K can throw a bit better and has a brighter hotspot.

Q: Why does firefly offer so many High CRI options?  

CRI rating from RA 0 to RA 100, Usually we called RA>80 high CRI,  RA<80 low CRI.

CRI measures how accurately a light source reproduces colors compared to natural sunlight. The Higher CRI Emitter provides unparalleled color fidelity, rendering colors true to life and enhancing the visual clarity of objects and spaces. This is crucial in various applications, from retail displays that need to showcase products in their best light, to museums preserving artworks in their most authentic hues , to working with a flashlight indoor or outdoors to make things more clean and clear. And the soft lighting from CRI emitters also help protecting human eyes. Although it has about 20% to 30% brightness loss than the greenish low-cri emitters, the advanges it provides are very worthwhile and result a different pleasant experience.

FFL series emitters are custom-made by our company , these emitters are of great beam color and up to RA95, reproducing a softer clean beam , which is very popular and widely-accepted by our customers.

Q: I am new to firefly flashlights, Is the UI easy to use?

Firefly flashlight adopts Anduril V2 UI, which is an open source UI created by designer" Toykeeper ".   Default UI is very Simple and clear, very easy to operate by newbies. There are some advanced functions by activating Hidden Advance UI, you can access these functions by reading the manual. 

A newby can be familiar with the operation in 1-2 minutes on default UI. However, It does need to spend some time to get familar with other functions in Advanced UI by reading the manual , like candle-mode / sunset / strobes / custom RGB colors etc. If you think these extra functions are useful to you or just for fun , we have videos to guid how to access. As a lighting tool , The default simple UI has all the functions you need.
